Jett, Dr. Wertz, and his completely healed leg!

Thanks for all the prayers for our annual appt with our Riley docs! It was a very wonderful, yet VERY bittersweet day! We definitely went through a lot almost 2 years ago (has it really been two years?!) when they found the tumor in Jett's leg, but after 2 years we finally got the completely recovered green light! WOO HOO!!!! So you are probably thinking, if you got the completely healthy bill of health, why so bittersweet? When you go through something like that you really get to know the people working on your child, and taking care and note of their every move, and saying goodbye to those Docs that loved our Jetty so much is hard to do. When we were leaving our appt, the head surgeon Dr. Wertz walked us all the way out, and asked us for all copies of pictures, and to be sure and send him a Christmas card. He said repeatedly during this appt and all appt's we have been to that Jett is his all time favorite patient, and that he is going to miss him so much! The Lord knew who He was putting us with that night we were told to rush to Riley there was a tumor that needed further evaluation. Looking back we were so blessed to go through such an emotional roller coaster time, with such amazing people!
