I have to give a little bit of a challenge to you all this week. As most of you know my dad is a pastor, and as ALL of his messages are awesome, the one that he preached on Sunday has really continued to burden my heart. I have already shared with a few people, and I thought you might like to hear about it too! Part of my dad's message was about when he has something on his mind, and he prays about it, but he just keeps thinking about it and worrying, he goes to the closet and pulls out a little box that he now calls his "prayer box". This little box that is no bigger than a shoe box has a lighthouse on it with waves crashing all around it. Inside of this box he has little pieces of paper, and on each paper there are prayer requests written on each one of them with the date of the request. After my dad rights down the request and puts it in the box, he than has given it to God and moved on. If he begins to think about his request or problem, he says to himself "Is this situation, or request bigger than God?" And the answer will always and forever be NO! When the request has been answered, he goes to the box and rights down the date of the answer, and the answer. So this week I made my very own "no fret prayer box." It isn't anything bright and shiny, it is just a simple reminder that God is still in control! I hope that this will just be a little encouragement to you this week, as it has been to me!
